The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies

This show features music, dance, and comedy in the Vaudeville style. Shows take place at the historic Plaza Theater, and the shows feature men and women who range in age from 56 to 86. Fans rave about the two-and-a-half-hour show and talk mostly about the unbelievable energy levels of the sunset-aged entertainers. It’s the #1 attraction on Trip Advisor, and if you read through the reviews, you’ll know why; there’s not a bad word to be said about this unique show. The costumes are extravagant, and could easily be confused with something in Las Vegas. Think feathers. Think headdresses.

This year, the Follies are celebrating their 20th anniversary, and the show is entitled Follies Forever. They’re notorious for welcoming guest stars, and now through March 5th, attendees are treated to the addition of Lesley Gore (you probably know her better from her hit “It’s My Party”). Gore was only 16 years old when she recorded the smash hit, and since, it has sold more than 1,000,000 copies. She also sat backseat to The Beatles with her song, “You Don’t Own Me.” “I Want To Hold Your Hand” was topping the charts at the time. From March 5th- May 15th, The Four Preps will join the Follies crew. They’ve been together since meeting at Hollywood High School, and were inducted into the Vocal Hall of Fame in 2008.

There never seems to be a shortage of things to do in Palm Springs, but some of the most fun activities and events are those that conjure up memories of time since passed. This certainly fits the bill. For tickets to The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, please visit
